Merced County, Cities Launch 'Support Our Restaurants' Campaign

Support Merced County Restaurants

In an effort to help sustain local restaurants through the COVID-19 pandemic, Merced County and its six Cities are encouraging residents to support local restaurants through takeout, delivery services, and gift card purchases.

In the coming weeks, the County, Cities and other local entities will use "Takeout Tuesday," "We Deliver Wednesday" and "Support our Restaurants" hashtags (see below) on social media to promote local restaurants that have been impacted by the State’s COVID-19 restrictions regarding on-site dining. Additional restaurants needing support will also be listed on the Merced County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's website along with their menus and phone numbers.

For those who are able, ordering takeout or delivery from a local restaurant once a week would be of significant benefit for restaurant owners and employees that have struggled to remain operational while keeping up with changing COVID-19 standards from the State. Purchasing gift cards as gifts or for later use is also a great way to help local businesses through the pandemic.

Restaurants can request to be featured on social media by their respective jurisdiction by emailing the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce at We're all in this together!
