Get Tested to Reopen Merced County

The Merced County Department of Public Health (Department) wants to emphasize the importance of testing to slow the spread of COVID-19, and thus ensure the reopening of Merced County. The more we test the faster Merced County can reopen. Through a collaborative effort with the California Department of Public Health, the Department secured an additional 500 tests per day administered at mobile testing sites. The mobile testing sites will be located at different areas throughout the county.

These new mobile options are in addition to other testing sites located throughout the County (see website). The non-mobile testing locations will continue to remain open if utilized, but under-utilization could lead to the closure of various State-funded testing sites.

Tests are available to all Merced County residents free of charge.  Pre-registration and same-day registration for the mobile sites can be made online at the Do I Need a COVID-19 Test website. Walk-in appointments are also welcome. Merced County Public Health Officials encourage residents to test for COVID-19 if they are experiencing any symptoms or have been potentially exposed to an individual who has tested positive. To receive a COVID-19 test, please visit one of the following locations, during the event date and time:
