1- Whooping Cough (Pertussis) in Merced County
Whooping Cough (Pertussis) is now an epidemic in California and Merced County. Infants 6 months and under are most vulnerable because they are too young to be adequately protected by vaccine. Therefore they must be protected by Pertussis vaccination given to those who are in close contact with them.
