Ambulance Contract Compliance
Reviews
One of the primary functions of the EMS Agency is the oversight of the performance-based ground ambulance contract. Riggs Ambulance Service (RAS) is an exclusive provider for the County, and is required to submit monthly reports describing their compliance with the requirements of their contract.

The Merced County Contract Compliance Committee (M4C) is made up of various EMS participants and assists the Agency with this monthly review. Findings and recommendations are made on a quarterly basis. For more information, call (209) 381-1250.

Response Time
Response time compliance is calculated as a percentage of the overall 9-1-1 responses that arrive on-scene within the required response time for the area of the response. Compliance is calculated within specific geographic zones, which are displayed on the map below. RAS is required to meet or exceed their response time requirements 90% of the time or greater (calculated on a monthly basis).
