The Public Health Department has two clinic sites located in Merced and Los Banos.
Immunizations services are offered for children and adults at both sites. These services are often used for children entering school and adults needing immunizations for work and immigration.

Preteen Vaccine Week
FEBRUARY 12-18 is Preteen Vaccine Week, a good reminder that your 11- or 12-year-old needs shots to protect them from serious diseases. And now all 7th graders need to get a whooping cough (pertussis) booster shot, Tdap, before starting school.
Don’t wait until summer. Schedule your child’s preteen doctor visit today! For more information, talk to your doctor, call your local health department @ (209)381-1010, or go to www.GetImmunizedCA.org or www.ShotsforSchool.org
Where Can Children Get the Tdap Booster?
Children should visit their regular doctor or health care provider to get their Tdap booster and other immunizations as soon as possible to avoid the back-to-school rush. Medi-Cal, CHDP, Healthy Families and most private insurances cover the cost of immunizations.
Free or low cost immunizations for children 18 years and younger who do not have insurance or whose insurance does not cover immunizations are available through the Vaccines for Children Program (VFC). Click here to find a VFC provider near you.
Limited travel immunizations are provided. Hepatitis A & B and Tetanus vaccines are available onsite. Prescriptions and referrals are available for other needed vaccinations. The program offers current information on international travel immunizations.
