Food and Nutrition Services is a program of the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) that fights hunger and strives to improve nutrition and health. It assists low-income households in purchasing necessary food for a nutritionally adequate diet.

Food and Nutrition Services Standards
Households must meet certain income and resource standards in order to receive CalFresh benefits. Applicants must also be U.S. citizens or belong to certain non-citizen groups that are eligible for the program. CalFresh benefit amounts are based upon your household size and income.
