As of 2010, there are 29,791 children ages 0-5 years living in Merced County.  Between the years 2005-2009, 27 children ages 0 through 5 years have died from an unintentional injury.  The following Merced County specific data comes from the California Department of Public Health, Safe and Active Communications Branch.  The data is divided by percentage distributions by the type of unintentional injury for Emergency Department Visits, Hospitalizations, and Deaths.  Ages 0 through 5 years.
