Division of Animal Control
The Division of Animal Control is mandated by California State Law and Local Ordinance to:
  • Humanely house and dispose of unwanted stray animals
  • Enforce all laws pertaining to the care, custody, and control of animals within our jurisdiction
  • Comply with the State of California's Rabies Control Program Regulations

Customer Service

As a public agency, we provide prompt, courteous service to our customers while protecting their safety. We are focused on our goals and steadfast in our resolve to meet the needs of the various communities within our jurisdiction.


Animal-Related Problems

Through public education and awareness, we strive to reduce the pet overpopulation problem within the County and to promote humane care of domestic animals. Our enforcement actions help reduce animal-related problems and livestock depredation.

We also work closely with other agencies to curtail illegal activities and animal-related problems.
