Where do I go to get birth certificates or a death certificate?
Birth records and death certificates will be maintained at Merced County Public Health Department for current year and previous year. All other years are maintained at Merced County Recorder’s Office.

Who do I call if I think I have food poisoning from a restaurant or local event?
The Merced County Division of Environmental Health deals with routine inspections, foodborne illness investigations and complaint investigations, for any facility that serves food to the public. These facilities include restaurants, school cafeterias, grocery stores, mini-marts, lunch trucks, and special events.
