The Friends of the Merced County Library incorporated as a non-profit organization in May of 1967 with the mission of enhancing, focusing public attention on and generating community support for Library services, facilities and other needs in Merced County. Its members are advocates for the Library.
The Friends provide financial support for literacy programs, children’s events, major improvements, and the purchase of new books and media countywide.
